In 1996 I was a film and video editor in Minneapolis, MN working with a production company on a variety of nationally recognized projects. One of the executive producers there asked if I would edit a wedding video for some friends of his, and I enjoyed it so much I contacted a local wedding videographer and asked about his work. He graciously took me under his wing and taught me all about being a professional wedding videographer. Gradually I came to prefer the celebratory nature of weddings over commercial film and video production, and in 2002 I moved to Eureka Springs and started Eureka Springs Wedding Videos. Having worked in an industry with tight deadlines and creative personality types, I learned how to be extremely organized and adapt to different environments and personalities, and I have applied those skills to my work as a wedding videographer. Wedding videos are hard work, but just like planning a wedding, they can be a lot of fun provided you approach them with the right attitude! I love working with couples who are about to get married. Eureka Springs is a wedding paradise, and since weddings in this area span every type of budget, I wanted to be able to offer professional videography to those couples who might not otherwise be able to afford it! I love my work, and whether I'm shooting a five minute ceremony or editing an eight hour extravaganza, I approach each wedding video as if it were my own. Thank you for letting me be part of your wedding day. Congratulations! - Mark McKenzie, Eureka Springs Wedding Videos & Photography |
